Virginia Daffron, Principal
During the years Virginia Daffron was leading marketing and business development departments in Boston, her hometown in the North Carolina mountains was never far from her mind. It was a happy day in the summer of 2005 when Virginia and her family returned to Western North Carolina to stay.
Virginia launched Verdant Communications in January 2006 to provide focused marketing consulting services to clients in the insurance, real estate and design industries.
Immediately prior to founding Verdant Communications, Virginia served as Director of Marketing and Business Development for Boston-based Margulies & Associates during a period of unprecedented growth and diversification. From 2003 through 2005, Margulies & Associates more than doubled its revenues and staff. The firm was ranked as the 24th fastest-growing private company in the greater Boston area in 2005.
Virginia also held marketing and business development positions with Corporate Project Partners, O'Neill & Associates, Vanderweil Engineers and Symmes Maini & McKee Associates.
A graduate of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, Virginia enjoyed a post-collegiate stint as a whitewater raft guide with the Nantahala Outdoor Center, where she guided commercial rafting trips on the Ocoee, Nolichucky, French Broad and Nantahala Rivers.
